Default image caching - 12-07-2005 , 01:43 PM

I'm quite the newbie at ASP.NET so I hope that this question doesn't sound
too stupid.
I'm looking into how suitable ASP.NET would be for an application that has
to display a series of images quite rapidly after an initial (reasonable)
delay for images to load. I'm hoping to set things up so that as the user
finishes reviewing one image, they can go on to the next immediately while a
new image is loaded in background (invisible) so that it's ready when the
user has finished with the current image.

I've looking into caching options in the documentation, but it looks like
128K images would be too large for those caches that I came across.

Is this possible in ASP.NET or is this simply not a suitable application for
ASP?

I guess that this is the wrong group for this question. Any suggestions where
I should post this in hopes of a reply within a couple of days?

Thanks!
