Default Initializing Offline Cache Problem. - 02-07-2005 , 01:17 AM

Hi,

I am unable to create an web application. When i am creating Application it
is saying "Initializing Offline Cache" and it is hanging. I checked in the
Inetmanager, while i am creating application it is not creating it as a
Virtual Directory it is creating as a folder in the InetManager. I tried it
by re-installing the .net framework also. But no luck. Can anyone help me. I
am unable to go forward in developing web applications.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes, I am on a Domain Controller. This system is on the intranet.
I doesn't know exactly why it was behaving like that. Before this problem it
is used to work properly. I doesn't know what happened afterwards, it is
showing that message and hanging.

can you explain me what exactly the Initializing offline cache means? How
exactly the IIS create the Virtual Directory while creating an web
application.

Thanx in advance for your help.

Domain controllers behave wierdly because accounts used to execute the
worker process are not local machine accounts. You need to start here
