Ok,
I have tryed manually downloading and installing the Update for Background
Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) 2.0 and WinHTTP 5.1
(KB842773).

When I click on icon on the desktop to run the program it say that the 'File
is Corrupt'.

Any help on this issuse?

the downloaded file is not corrupt here. I can start the installer and get
to the message about wrong Win version. I can open the archive using 7-Zip
and see the files. No corruption. Looks like you have a local issue.

If you want to pursue this, please select a discussion group for Windows,
rather than this .NET programming group. Unfortunately, as Windows 2000 is
no longer supported, there are no Microsoft public groups for W2000 issues.
You might try searching Google Groups for references to forums where you can
get help.
