Default Does .NET academic need IE ? - 02-03-2005 , 05:19 PM

I dont use IE as my browser and prefer not to have it on my PC at all. Can I

Hi Rupert,

Internet Explorer is one of the basic requirements to run .NET on your
systems.
You can't do without it.A number of elements of the .NET Framework and
underlying
CLR rely on technology that is part of a version of Internet Explorer

You can refer to the following link for detailed study on this topic:
..NET Framework 1.0 Redistributable Prerequisites]

Hello Ammar,

You can view the ASP page in any browser. It need not necessarily be
Microsoft Browser.
However, you do the need IE to be present on your system for .NET framework
to run
properly as some feature of .NET are dependant on the IE's class libraries.
