Default Errors with help links - 10-08-2004 , 05:53 PM

..NET academic installed and patched, SP2 installed.

Now whenever I select a link in the help section, using C++ as a filter,
..NET tries to install
Microsoft DirectX 9.0 (C++) SDK.msi

I have the summer update installed, but apparently that is not what it is
looking for now, and i can't seem to find that specific msi.

Any clue as to how to fix this? A workaround seems to be to open the link
as an external window and no install pops up - but that is annoying.

As a side note, since the XP SP2 install, a similar thing happens to Office
2003, it looks for a specific msi to install its SP3, but it is not on the
CD. This is annoying.

Thanks in advance for any help. If you want to reply directly, just remove
the <nospam> from the email address below.
