MS-DOS 6.22 on a PC, need license? or is it free?

Hi.. I have a question here... I have an old PC and if i were to run on
MS-DOS 6.22 only... do I need to purchase a license? or it's now like a
freeware now?

MS-DOS has not been released into the public domain, therefore (technically)
you need a license.
You can still find MS-DOS 6.22 for sale on eBay and other locations (Google
is your friend).
For an official response, contact Microsoft directly by phone or email.
