Default calling a function/query - 02-06-2007 , 07:38 PM

hi,
I have some queries that are grouped as "functions" in Database Explorer in
VS 2005. I would like to set up a tableadapter with one of these, but each
time I try, I get errors. It doesn't seem to recognize the function. Can you
advise?
Thank you!!

Hello Leotiger,

Is the database here also the access mdb database file you mentioned in
another thread " how to refer to a query that calls a function" ? Also,
as I've asked in your another thread. Is the functions you mentioned those
VBA functions defined in your access database? Also, for those "functions"
displayed in the vs 2005 server explorer, they're SQL Server specfiic
functions and access database do not support such functions(it is empty by
default and you can not add new ones it it in server explorer).

Sincerely,

HI,
Yes, it's the same one. Yes, the functions I am referring to are ones I
create and use in Access. The functions I see in (database explorer ) are
also queries I use in Access. But when I try to open them , they are empty. I
wonder why it bothered to copy them over if they're empty. I remain very
confused about this whole thing. Thanks much.

Thanks for your reply Leotiger,

I'll continue to followup in your another thread "how to refer to a query
that calls a function". And we can discuss the issue further there.
