Default installing VS.NET 2003 Academic, trying to skip IIS - 12-06-2004 , 12:55 PM

I'm only interested in getting set up for Pocket PC development and don't
want the Web tools. When trying to install VS.Net 2003, I am stuck on the
first step because it says I don't have the prerequisites. It says I can
skip IIS and Frontpage extensions, but when I try to skip them it asks for
the Prerequisites disc. 1) why is it asking for this when I'm trying to skip
it, and 2) I don't have a disc because I downloaded the whole thing from my
university (it's an Academic version).

Can anyone help?

The prerequisites are more than IIS (not included with VS) and FP
extensions. They are updates to numerous core components used to support
Visual Studio. If you didn't get the Prerequisites CD image as part of your
download (is this a MSDNAA download?), you need to go to whomever
administers the software distribution program and find out how to get what
you need. As I administer the MSDNAA program for my department, I can assure
you that the content of the Prerequisites CD is available for download (by
the MSDNAA Administrator) and should be part of the Visual Studio .NET 2003
package made available to students.
