Default cannot install printer - 04-25-2007 , 06:54 PM

I have an IBM computer, the OS is WINDOWS XP Home Edition, with 3 printers,
one of the printers are HP LaserJet 2300d (series PCL 6) which I installed
about 2 years ago and it worked fine, but, about 3 weeks ago it strat to make
problems when the print dialog box was opened and I clicked on properties the
program closed, after it did so several times I uninstalled the printer and I
tried to install it again several ways for more then 25 times and it does not
install. I downloaded the newest printer driver from HP for the printer and
it did not installed, the messages that it gave me was, an error occured
during the installation of the device The parameter is incorrect, 2nd message
- unable to install printer Either the printer name was typed incorrectly or
the specified printer has lost its connection to the server.
please help thanks

Sorry, you've posted your question in a .NET programming group. To get help,
you need to post in a Windows XP group. Here are two that should work for
you:

microsoft.public.windowsxp.general

microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_support

I gave you the names of two pertinent groups to post in,

microsoft.public.windowsxp.general

microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_support

Can you scroll down a list of available groups where you are posting and
find groups with "windowsxp" in the names?

They're probably near the bottom of the list.
