Default no email access until sign up for LIVE? - 04-10-2009 , 12:26 AM

Sooo... I can put in my account name and password and access my contacts
list, but I have no access to my existing email ? When I select mail it
tells me I need to sign up for LIVE. Why on earth should I have to sign up
for LIVE if you're forcing me to use it. Why not simply add it to my
existing account? How do I access my existing emails... or did they
mysteriously get deleted?

You are unlikely to get help with your Live Mail issue in this .NET
programming discussion group. For help with Windows Live, go here:

http://support.microsoft.com/gp/email_problems_help#tab4

Are you being asked to create a Live ID? This ID (once you set one up) will
make your life easier when dealing with Microsoft and Microsoft products.
You can simply use you email address as the ID and choose a password you
won't forget. Once set up, the Live ID will be your universal access to all
sorts of features in Microsoft's web sites and products with the single ID.
For example: I can access several beta test sites, my MSDN and Technet
subscriptions and various limited discussion groups, all with one Live ID
and password. Beats the heck out of a different ID/password for each
product.

FWIW, I have *never* been spammed as a result of setting this ID up with
Microsoft.
