Thanks Ray D. for pointing to the right location. There are lots of books and article about data validation. That URL is a

There is a pretty good article on validation in ASP.NET on MSDN:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...us/dnaspp/html
/aspplusvalid.asp That should get you started.

Hello All!

I have a newbie question and hope you guys can help!

I need to get my skills in data validation up. What I mean by data
validation is .....If I have a program where the user needs to enter,
let's
say an integer (but I'm interested in all data types) and he enters
nothing
or an alpha character what is the best way to handle data entry errors. Is
calling this data validation the proper term?

Any sites or info would be greatly appreciated.!

Thanks in Advance

The eCaveman
