I found that coming from a VB 6.0 & ASP 3.0 backing helped a lot in learning
DOTNET.
What suppressed me most was feeling uncomfortable writing in VB.NET compared
to C#...
C# is the language that I would swear by....
The longest part of learning the DOTNET learning curve is understanding the
Framework.. Once you feel comfortable with this, you'll pick it all up in no
time..
