Hi Adam,

If you want to learn ASP then you can visit sites like
http://www.learnasp.com/learnasp/.
You can search google for more sites.

Nearly all books on ASP.NET explains about ADO.NET & Webservices.
If you want to learn deep I recommend you to get ASP.NET unleashed by
stephen walther (SAMS). This book is very good and explains everything.
No need to buy any other books. If you are still not convinced search
amazon.com with keywords like webservices, ado.net in the books section.

Alternatively, you can access sites like 4guysfromrolla, c-sharpcorner,
csharphelp for more tutorials. Visit www.asp.net and see the list
of books on the bottom right side

Dear All,

I have ideas which i would like to starting implementing
on the web. I have looked into getting a dedicated
service with Windows 2003 and IIS6.

My request is this, can any one point me in the direction
of a good starting point in order that I might begin to
understand some of the technologies available for
producing websites. I think the websites will use ASP,
which I have jet to learn, but I keep finding reference
to many other things, ADO.NET (?), Web Services (?). Is
there a good book, website that explains them all and
what they are used for?

There are so many different things and I don't want to
start one to find that I should be using another! I hope
someone can help.

Thanks for you help in advance, Adam.
