Default Snipping tool - 04-05-2009 , 11:31 AM

There is a program in Windows vista called (either) Snipping Tool or Snippit.
Apparently it is only available in vista or can I get it on my Windows XP?
I am told it's a very handy program.

It appears the only download for any flavor of XP that includes the Snipping
Tool is this one, and I don't know if it will install on non-tablets:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/tabletpc/experiencepack/default.mspx

Other than that, if you wish to inquire further, you should do so in a
Windows XP discussion group.

To find the right group:

As you appear to be using a web interface, start here:

http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx

In the tree on the left, first open the English category, then open Windows.
In Windows, find and open the category for WindowsXP.
In that category, find a group to post in.

If the previous link is not useful for vanilla XP, here's a freebie that has
the same functionality.

Seems to me that anyone who doesn't have an answer to a "SPECIFIC" question likes to see their name in the posts so they offer answers that have no bearing on the initial question. When one is looking to purchase a Lamborghini, don't offer me an "Edsel" site!. If you don't have a direct answer to the question, don't bother responding with trivia/
