local sql 2k5 instance not showing - 09-22-2006 , 10:50 AM

I'm using VS2005 Team Suite. I have SQL 2005 Standard loaded locally and the
service is running. I'm trying to create a connection and the local instance
is not showing in the server name drop down in Add Connection. Any ideas?
