I am deploying an application developed in .NET 1.1 using Access as the
backend. I am using the Jet 4.0 OLE driver to connect. I need some help
verifying that the Jet 4.0 OLE driver is present on the clients computer. I
see that MDAC 2.6-2.8 does not include Jet but that the windows service packs
update Jet directly? Is Jet embedded in XP Home and Pro? If so do I only
need to make sure Jet 4.0 SP8 is installed? If not, how do I install Jet?
Since I developed and tested this app on XP home and pro, I am only concerned
with making sure I get the installer right for these two versions.

Jet 4.0 is part of the operating system since win 2k. You should not update
anything. Just install your system and make sure .net 1.1 is installed.
