performance

hey, when i want to play a music file or a video file on windows media player
or in the media center it takes too much time to begin playing the
file...even when the media player is playing a list of songs...how can i fix
this problem ? thanks

But, nevertheless, I'll try to help you

What codecs are installed on your system? Something special?
What CPU activity do you observe when WM begins to play?
What about other music players, e.g. WinAmp is it slow too? If yes, then it
may be due to codecs issues.
