Default DELL RAC (DRAC3 (ERA)) - 03-14-2007 , 12:31 PM

Problem exists only with Dell Servers that have the old DRAC3 (ERA) Card
build in and a WindowsServer2003 System installed that is up to date.
All functions of the DRAC Card work fine except of the Console Redirection.
the problem is mentioned in this article by another user:
http://www.dellcommunity.com/support...id=63085#M2328

and also in the readme of the drac:
http://ftp.us.dell.com/sysman/racread_335A00_enrm.txt
"Some terminal servers will not signal the RAC when the user
connection has ended. This behavior of the terminal server results
in the RAC continuing any validated sessions the user may have
started. To prevent this situation, discontinue any validated
sessions (log out) before disconnecting from the terminal server. "

as long as i have opened a rdp-connection to the system the DRAC console
redirection works fine, too. but if i want to connect to the server only with
the
DRAC console redirection i get a black screen. the only way to get rid of
this error is a reboot. if i just connect once with RDP after the reboot,
the DRAC console redirection starts showing a black screen.
but in case of an error where RDP is not working i want to connect with the
DRAC console redirection. that's why this DRAC was made and bought for.
If i reboot I don't need the DRAC Function anymore, I can use RDP.
There was time it worked fine, but after some MS-Updates it stopped working.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
thanks, Patrik
