Default ClickOnce LONG DELAY - 05-05-2006 , 07:55 PM

When clicking the link from a client PC that points to the

MyApp.application

file, initially there is a windows that pops up in the upper left hand
corner of the screen that says

"Verifying Application Requirements"

This windows seems to pop up very quickly and then just goes away. Then,
instead of the program starting to download with progress bars, there can be
anywhere from a 10 second to several minute delay before the progress bar
window finally shows up. The progress bar / install windows will always
show up, install, and eventually the program runs, but the huge delay when
it appears that nothing is going on is quite troublesome.

We actually have warnings next to the link telling users to be patient that
the program will eventually load, but the long delays can be frustrating.
Something must be going on because this doesn't happen only on one client,
but all of them without fail. The time will vary, and it doesn't seem to be
predictable, but it does happen.

Has anyone else seen this?
Does anyone know the reason for this?
Is there anything I can do during publish time that will eliminate this
problem?

I've googled and googled but I can find any other mention of this problem.

Thanks.

We don't have this problem but there is usually a 5 seconds or so delay
after the little screen goes away till the application pops up.

Are you signing the files using the test certificate? Not sure if this may
have something to do with this but I just thought I would mention it.
