Recognize that VS 2008 ships with beta version of SP1 for the 2.0, 3.0 and
3.5 frameworks.

I do not think the SP is a beta. It is the same SPs that were released on
the 16th.

..NET 2.0 SP1
--------------

http://tinyurl.com/297fhj x64
http://tinyurl.com/2fsa4a IA64

..NET 3.0 SP1
---------------

Both are rolled up into the .NET 3.5 Framework install, which was also
posted on 11/16/2007:

FYI .NET 2.0 SP1 does not install on Vista.
