This may be a problem with other programs as well, but so far i've only noticed it in Excel. I will be working with two spread sheets and each will have it's own button on the taskbar, but when i close one any other excel windows close as well which has been a real issue as i keep forgetting that vista does this. Is there a preference setting that can be changed? or perhaps a patch that can be downloaded. i really don't like this if it is supposed to be some new sort of feature by Microsoft. |

Hello Jon, This is not a Vista issue. It happens under WinXP as well (I am talking about Office 2003). It is one of those inconsistencies in Microsoft's programs.
