Default Com component and .net - 08-30-2005 , 03:59 PM

Hi all,

I wonder if a COM component (eg ActiveX component) can be used on .NET
platform?
What is the difference between .NET component and COM/ActiveX
component?
What is the difference in development process, ie. programming
language, etc.

Many thanks

Timmy

A COM component can be used in a .Net project via COM Interop. Simply
insert the COM component as a standard component on your form.

Thank you Bob. In fact, can .net component developed directly using
non-.net language (not the COM->.net approach)?

Thanks
