installation error

installation error - 01-02-2008 , 11:07 PM

I am trying to install a program by cd. It is an older version of windows
than what I am runnig. The install screen appears and I click install and
the disk drive revs up and NOTHING HAPPENS!! Please help me get this program
loaded on my system?????
