Default French characetr upload - 04-03-2008 , 12:47 PM

I upload a text file with the following French character '็' and the server
receives the following: 'รง' instead

Any explanation?

Thank you,
Samuel

Looks like the file is UTF-8, so it's all fine (you are probably using
different ways to see it I guess)

So what is the solution?

How can I change the UTF?

There is probably no problem, so you don't need a solution.
If you look at a UTF-8 file with a UTF-8 editor it is ok,
if you look at it with an editor that has no clue about
UTF-8 it looks corrupted.

The best solution is to use something utf-8 aware to look at it.

If you need some real help, you need to give some real info:

Uploaded using what?
What kind of server?
How do you get it off the server to look at it?
What you used to look at the file before upload?
What you used to look at the file after upload?
