When I tried those links, just as when I originally tried various other methods of feedback, I did not start out with sarcasm and scorn. Microsoft works very hard to earn sarcasm and scorn. Latest was Windows Update Catalog, for which Microsoft provides a feedback link and doesn't charge a fee. I reported a sequence of two problems which prevent installing a downloaded driver. Microsoft replied politely with a set of five lies. I replied politely with an explanation of what happens in each case. Microsoft replied politely with zero corrections and more lies. I replied politely again. Microsoft replied politely with zero corrections and more lies. If I had time, I would send off sarcasm and scorn, but I didn't have time for it right then so I just dropped it. Microsoft nearly always earns sarcasm and scorn. Exceptions are far rarer than the usual kinds of exceptions we get from Windows. "Michael S. One doesn't get milk by beating the cow -- perhaps if your subtle sarcasm, dripping with scorn, does not fns as many receptive ears as you might like, you would eventually change the approach? Or not, in this case. Those links go to the right place, and the right people. They do. Note that your contributions vie for attention with those genuinely confused and those who have a kinder tone as well as those who work harder to be clear in what they are trying to say. Is it that hard to imagine why the ruder ones might be looked at with a more skeptical eye? Had I such a mail from you, I would get it printed, notarized, and framed. And when compared with you last 200 newsgroup postings, it would undoubtedly be declared a forgery.:-( MichKa "Norman Diamond" <ndiamond (AT) community (DOT) nospam> wrote in message news:eP66ZXKOIHA.5208 (AT) TK2MSFTNGP04 (DOT) phx.gbl...
