Default J# Browser Controls v1.1b repost - 10-05-2004 , 03:08 PM

I'm pleased to announce that J# Browser Controls v1.1b has been reposted in
nine languages. See http://msdn.microsoft.com/vjsharp/browsercontrols

J# Browser Controls provide developers with a way to migrate their existing
Java applet source code to run within the context of the .NET Framework. J#
Browser Controls have full access to the .NET Framework, including the
ability to access native support for XML Web services. They also provide J#
developers with a way to enable rich, client-side functionality within a
Web-based application.
Version 1.1b introduces new functionality, such as scripting support and the
ability to host J# Browser Controls without reliance on a Web server.

The initial posting of this release was delayed due to some technical issues
but these have since been resolved.

Is it possible to this with C# to create Browser Controls?
Anybody? I'd rather not have to learn another language if I can avoid it.

Default J# Browser Controls v1.1b repost - 10-26-2004 , 06:48 AM

Hi Brian,

We had been working with the pre-release successfully.
This final release simply does not load at all. I have
uninstalled the older version, installed the new one, and
now I get "Unable to load the J# Browser Control".

FYI I had been working with Jayu Katti from MS during the
beta stages of the JBC, and using "mark of the web" we
were running the JBC from a local web page file://
