Default Longevity of VJ# - 05-16-2005 , 06:40 PM

1. Is the future of VJ# dependent on the agreements with SUN or will VJ# be
around irregardless of SUN.
2. Can VJ# code be ported to the Linux platform through the Mono Project ?

TIA

no, don't think so

Mono doesn't have a J# compiler and class libraries, but could use the GNU
Classpath project. Also see the Apache Harmony opensource effort to make an
opensourced J2SE version. Mono can grab those when they're more mature
