Hi, ive rebuilt my machine and am trying to reinstall vs.net 2003. When
installing the prerequisits cd i get a message saying that the Frontpage
Server Extensions arnt installed, which to my knowledge are (how can i
check? ive looked at add/remove windows components and this shows them). I
press skip and then install the required components, but the Setup Runtime
Files fails with the message (from the log)

[12/14/03,17:11:56] Setup Runtime Files: g:\RunMSI.exe exited with return
value 1603
[12/14/03,17:11:56] Setup Runtime Files: ***ERRORLOG EVENT*** : Error code
1603 for this component means "Fatal error during installation.
"

on component Setup Runtime Files

when running manually doing cdrom:\bootstrap.msi i get the error message
Internal Error 2349.

also running the Microsoft FrontPage 2000 Web Extensions Client from the cd
(cdrom:\weccom.msi) doesnt work, flashes up then disappears.


any suggestions?

VS.NET 2003 uses the FrontPage 2002 extensions, not 2000.
