Default Setup Project: creating shortcut to existing file - 01-12-2010 , 10:03 AM

When creating a shortcut in a setup project, is it possible to set the Target
to an existing file on the system that is not part of the deployment? I am
verifying the existance of the file via a file search. Thanks.

No, you'd have to write custom action code for that.

Thanks Phil. I don't suppose you know off hand if there's a way other than
using the scripting host to create said shortcut, do you?

BTW - I own, and am a fan of, your DGtWI book
